How to Send Ashes Safely
Sending ashes can feel daunting, but only a very small amount is needed and I’m happy to guide you through the process.
1. Place a small amount of ashes into a secure bag or container
A small sealable bag, sample bag, or well-fastened container is usually enough. Only a small amount is needed for most pieces.
2. Add extra protection
Wrap the ashes in tissue, bubble wrap, or place them inside a small box or padded envelope so they are well protected in transit.
3. Include your details
Please add your name, contact details, and any order information inside the parcel, so I can identify it as soon as it arrives.
4. Seal the parcel carefully
Make sure everything is securely packaged and sealed to prevent movement during postage.
5. Choose a tracked and secure postal service
You may use the postal method you feel most comfortable with, but I strongly recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery for added peace of mind, as it is tracked, insured, and requires a signature on delivery.
6. Let me know once it has been sent
Sending me the tracking number helps me keep an eye out for its safe arrival.
7. Safe return of any unused ashes
Any unused ashes will be treated with care and respect and returned with your completed piece, unless you ask otherwise.
